Secondary School World Peace Day is coming! On September 22 we will have an all-school assembly to celebrate the U.N. World Peace Day. If you would like to make a speech, read a poem or sing a song at the assembly, please contact Mr. McCandless.
Shakespeare Garden - Secondary school students may use the Shakespeare Garden before school, during lunch and after school. However, you must not disturb classes in the upper elementary school building. Stay on the grass and do not use the sidewalk next to the building. You may use the path along the wall at any time of the day. Your cooperation is needed to maintain this privilege.
Grades 8-12. Are you new to the school and your graphing calculator is stuck on some boat in the middle of the Indian Ocean and won't arrive till April 2013? Need a graphing calculator? The TI-nspire graphing calculator is for sale for 1250 Dhs. Just stop by S-41 to have all of your problems solved.
Announcements: If you would like to place an announcement in the daily bulletin, email your announcement to Mrs. Semlali not later than 4:00 p.m. on the day before the announcement is to be published. If you would like to make an announcement at an assembly, pick up a form from the office and submit it to one of the 12th grade Stuco officers (Tarik, Majdal and Hasnaa).
RAS Athletics & Clubs:
Volleyball & Swimming Seasons are underway.
Lion Men's volleyball practices will take place on Friday from 4:00 - 5:45 and Saturday from 4 - 5:30. Lady Lions will practice Thursday at 4:00 - 5:45 and Saturday from 4:00 - 5:30. Varsity and JV teams will be announced early next week.
Sea Lions practices for all secondary school swimmers - Wednesday, Thursday or Friday - 3:30 - 4:30.
High School
Advisory today
Grade 9 & 10 - meet in individual advisories for a short activity and setting up your advisory folder.
Grade 11 - meet in individual advisory for short activity, transcript and credit check. NOTE: Only RAS credits will appear on your transcript
Grade 12 - All students and advisors to meet in Ms. Siegel's room. Please be on time as we have a lot of information to cover (transcripts, service learning project).
IB BIO YEAR 1. If you want a study guide, I must have your 300 Dh before Wed Sep 8. The order will be placed on Thursday Sep 9. Don't delay! Order Today!

IB BIO YEAR 2: Apparently, there was some confusion about the LAB ACTIVITY. IT IS DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS ON FRIDAY, before the quiz. The worksheets are only for practice and are NOT DUE. :) Ms. Siegel
Middle School
MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL STARTS NEXT WEEK! Here is the weekly schedule: Monday-skill practice for all boys. Wednesday-girls game day. Thursday-boys game day Friday-girls skill practice.
All grade 6-8 boys interested please meet on the outdoor court ready to play at 3:30 on Monday, September 6th. We will practice and pick teams to be ready for Thursday's opening league games.
All grade 6-8 girls interested please meet on the outdoor court ready to play at 3:30 on Wednesday September 8th. We will pick teams and start the league season. Any questions please see Mr Brunt.
All NJHS members please meet in Mr. Lindbloom's room on Thursday during lunch. Please be there by 1:30 so we can get started on time.
