The Mega Mall is the only location in Rabat where it is possible to go bowling. The Mega Mall is located off the Avenue Imam Malik.The bowling alley is located on the bottom floor of the Mega Mall. There are signs throughout the Mega Mall pointing out where the bowling alley is. For the exact directions of the Mega Mall, please visit the Mega Mall website, hosted by Salwa Benaissa.
It costs 15 dh to enter the bowling alley, and you will recive a ticket which is worth a free soda at the bar.
Monday through Thursday:
Before 8 o'clock: 30 dh.
After 8 o'clock: 35dh.
Friday:
Before 8 o'clock: 35 dh.
After 8 o'clock: 38dh
Saturday:
Before 8 o'clock: 40 dh.
After 8 o'clock: 40 dh.
Sunday:
Before 8 o'clock: 40 dh.
After 8 o'clock: 30 dh or 100 dh per hour.
The price of shoes (5 dh) is included in the original price for the first game. All games after the first game cost 5 dh less than shown above.
Each bowling lane has a T.V. monitor above it, that shows helpful hints, and funny animations depending on how well you bowl.The game itself is ten pin bowling. All bowling balls are clearly marked on their weight and finger hole size. All balls color coded. Billiards is supposed to be coming soon, but there is debate as to wether or not to open the billiard tables.
There is a lounge where people sit, relax, and watch T.V. A bar serves drinks and snack's, prices vary depending on beverage or candy. There are leagues to join, and a special one coming soon, The Diplomats League, though it is not fully operational yet.
All employees speak French, Moroccan Arabic, or a little English, so make sure you can order a game in French or Arabic, if not, bring someone that can. There are only 12 bowling lanes, and the bowling alley can get very crowded, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Smoking is only allowed in the lounge, not while you are bowling.
Bumpers will be set up for your lane if requested. Socks are required, if you do not bring any, they will provide anti-fungal socks for a small fee.
