There are many kinds of amazing fish you can see in Bouznika Bay. Here is a list of fish and what they eat and where you can find them under water. Please do not harm the young fish, wait until they grow and become adults before you start to hunt them.

-Sar = Found near rocks; feed on other dead fish and plant life; they are silver and gray.
-Gilt-head = Found near rocks; feed on dead fish and plant life; very fast ; are gray and sometimes have yellow markings.
-Gray Mullet = Found near top of the water; feed on plant life; skinny, long and dark gray.
-Chevrette = Found near the rocks; feed on plant life; long gray body.
-Parrot Fish =Found in deeper water; feed on coral; gray and has a mouth like a parrot.
-Scorpian Fish = Found on top of the rocks; they eat the plants that grows on the rocks

The current in Bouznika is very powerful you should always go scuba diving when the current is low. The tide is normally high but it can sometimes be low.

- Most of the time waves push you to the south.
- If have winds be careful to enter because current will be even more powerful
-Go al dways when the current is low
- The temperature of the water in Bouznika Bay is always cold but clear.

Water of Beach in Bouznika Bay

 


- Temperature is very cold.
- Wear thick wetsuit, which will keep you warm.
- You will need good quality goggles and swim suit to be able to scuba dive in Bouznika.
-It is necessary that you wear a wetsuit, ; 3 mm is sufficcent.
-Aswak Salam in Mohamedia have good wetsuits for scuba diving.
- You can also wear a surfing wetsuit in late summer or early fall when the water is warmer.

You can not refill your air tanks in Bouznika or Bouznika Bay. But there are some special scuba diving shops in Casablanca which will allow you to refill your air tanks.

- Take the auto route; drive about 30 minutes away from Rabat toward Casablanca
- Look at the maps while driving until you see a map which says Bouznika
- Take a right
- Pay the man 10 dirhams to enter
- Take a right to go to Bouznika Bay
- Keep on going straight
- Take a right when there is a sign, which says Bouznika
- Take another right when you see the sign BB that stands for Bouznika Bay
-Enter the gate and keep on going straight.
-Take a left
-Go through another gate, which takes you outside Bouznika Bay
-Take a right when you see the sign “Passage Pieton” and it shows an arrow of going up
- Go through the narrow "street" until you get to the beach
- Now you are on the beach
- Take a right and walk down until you see the rocks
- When you see the rocks then go straight to them
- Dive in
