There are two good vets clinics and a veterinarian university. The two vets are Dr. Manzoni, a highly reputed surgeon, and Dr. Abdelhmid. They are both highly recommended by the Swiss and the French embassies. The University is full of talented students that will examine your animals for a lower price. I would only take my pet there for vaccinations and examinations but not operations.
He will come to do home examinations but it will cost more, about twice the money then a normal consultation. He works mostly with domestic animals like birds, cats and dog and the occasional horse. He speaks excellent French and some English. At the clinic you can buy different types of toys for your animals, as well as food and medication that he prescribed. His opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 14:30 p.m. to 18:00 p.m. There are three staff members that help with minor tasks such as cleaning the animals, feeding them, vaccinations, and inserting digital ID chips. Dr. Abdelhmid performes the consultations and the major operations. The clinic offers boarding, grooming services and animal training. They have a web site in French which is http://www.mimosa.ma/index.html. His clinic is located in a small town 15 minutes away form Rabat located close to the Rabat-Casablanca highway.
Dr. Manzoni is an expert surgeon who works in a small comfortable house. There is a garden where recuperating animals go to rest. He has a sterilized operating table that he keeps out of view. He has one staff member who assits him during operations and is the secretary.
Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II The university is full of capable veterinarian students. All examinations and operations will be done with the supervision of a professional. The complex is huge and there are places for boarding dogs and cats. There is a small store which sells animal food and vaccinations.
