Rabat American School is governed by an elected nine member Board of Trustees.
The Board’s role is strategic and long term in nature and assures the overall viability of the school.
Policies are created by the Board to provide guidance for day-to-day operations.
The Board works closely with the Director to set employment terms for personnel, set budget and authorize major projects and initiatives. Board policies are available to the school community in the school libraries.
Composition of the Board of Trustees:
The Board of Trustees of the Association is composed of 9 voting members who are predominantly American. However, the Board must include at least 3 persons having a nationality other than American amongst its membership and voting members. Amongst, the 3 non-American members, there must be 1 Moroccan member and 1 non-American, non-Moroccan member.
Voting members of the Board are elected as follows:
6 members are elected by the general assembly from amongst the parents.
