RAS Reopening Playbook School Year 2020-2021
The Rabat American School’s Board of Trustees and the Administrative Leadership Team are working collaboratively to develop strategies and protocols that allow flexibility and transparency. Our priority is our community’s health and safety while staying true to our vision of Pursuing excellence in an environment of unity, mutual respect, and understanding.
We are using guidance from public health officials, local government requirements, and resources from other schools, colleges and leading organizations. Our school’s child protection and social-emotional programs and policies have been adapted to support the mental and physical well-being of our students as they learn. Our counseling, student support staff alongside our teaching staff have adapted their programs and practices to provide services unique to the challenges faced by students and families while learning under these new, challenging and complex circumstances.
This Reopening Playbook provides the RAS community with an overview of the 2020–21 school opening procedures. The playbook is a brief summary of what to expect as we open our classrooms and campus. It describes options for learning and teaching through the first months of the 2020-21 academic year. RAS is committed to serve our students with programs that are engaging, flexible, and responsive to the current crisis.
The Rabat American School intends to begin on-campus school as of September 1, 2020.
